Most Licenses issued in the State of Florida are regulated by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation. The Department of Business and Professional Regulation is responsible for overseeing the following Boards, Commissions, Council, and Occupations. Health Complaints

Effective July 1, 2002, the Department of Health, Division of Medical Quality Assurance assumed responsibility of analysis of complaints and reports involving potential misconduct of a licensee and initiates investigations when appropriate. Previously this was performed by the Agency for Health Care Administration.

The boards and councils within MQA determine probable cause and disciplinary action in cases involving the misconduct of their licensees.
