Q: Where do I find the current Florida Nurse Practice Act?

A: The Nurse Practice Act (Chapter 464, Part 1, Florida Statutes) can be found on the Florida Board of Nursing website on the Resources page. The Practice Act and all of the Board’s rules can be located under “Florida Statutes & Administrative Codes.” The Florida Nurse Practice Act covers LPN, RN, & ARNP roles and responsibilities. Chapter 464, Part 2, Florida Statutes, is the law under which CNAs are governed.

Q: I need to complete an application by mail. Where can I get a paper application?

A: If you are unable to apply online, you can download a PDF application and mail the completed copy to the board. All versions of the applications can be found on their ‘Resources’ page, under “PDF Applications”.
